About Jessie

Here's the thing about children who struggle with reading: most of them aren't struggling because they're not trying. They haven't been taught in a way that works for how their brain is wired. That's the bit school often misses. And that's exactly what I do.

I'm Jessie, the teacher behind WildED. I've spent seven years figuring out how to get reading to click for children who've been guessing, avoiding, and quietly falling further behind. I work with dyslexic, autistic and ADHD learners, and kids who just haven't had the right teaching yet. (Those two groups overlap more than most people realise.)

My lessons are structured, so your child always knows what to expect. But they're also genuinely enjoyable. I adapt completely to the child in front of me: their pace, their interests, their energy on any given day. Some sessions are quick and high-energy. Some are slow and careful. I follow the child, not the script.

I'm used to busy brains, big feelings, and tired children at the end of the day. (And tired parents, for that matter.) We build real progress at a pace that actually works.

What parents say:

Memorising words → reading chapter books. In months.
Jessie is the most amazing teacher. She taught my daughter to read after we realised she had just been memorising words. Within months, she went from faking it to reading chapter books, and now we can’t get her head out of a book!
