About WildED
Structured literacy support for children who find reading and writing hard.

Meet Jessie
The Teacher Behind WildED
Hello, I’m Jessie, the teacher behind WildED.
My love of literacy started long before I had my own classroom. My mum was an incredible headteacher, helped write Letters and Sounds and even worked Oxford University teaching future teachers. I grew up watching her turn “I can’t read” into “I can do this” for so many children. That’s where WildED really began.
I’m a qualified teacher in both the UK and New Zealand and I’ve spent over six years teaching in mainstream schools, working with home educating families and even being part of a small homeschooling “school”. I’ve taught children with all sorts of strengths, needs and backgrounds.
These days, I specialise in helping children who learn differently – including dyslexic, autistic and ADHD learners, and kids who just haven’t had the right kind of teaching yet. I use structured, evidence based approaches, but I always keep things human, calm and doable for tired families.
When you work with me, you get someone who knows the research, understands how schools work, and genuinely enjoys getting to know your child as a person, not a level or a label.

What you can expect with WildED
✅ Structured, evidence based teaching – Step-by-step literacy teaching based on the science of reading, so your child stops guessing and starts really reading and writing.

✅ Calm, predictable lessons – Sessions are steady, kind and neurodivergent-friendly, with clear routines, movement breaks when needed and lots of encouragement.
✅ A Trusted Guide on Your Child’s Journey – I build lasting connections with families, celebrating every milestone, and supporting children long after they’ve outgrown their sessions.
